High-Performance Standing Seam Anchoring

The MELATHRON lifeline by Spider is a permanent anchorage device of Type C-A, designed to provide maximum fall protection on civil and industrial roofs, whether flat or pitched. It fully complies with UNI EN 795:2012 and UNI 11578:2015.

Innovation: Non-Invasive Standing Seam Attachment

  • Installation Without Drilling: The system is engineered for installation on standing-seam metal roofs using dedicated fixing clamps. This allows direct anchoring to the seam without perforating the surface, preserving roof integrity.

  • Flexible and Controlled Line: The anchorage line is made of an 8-mm stainless steel cable tensioned between end and intermediate anchors. It includes an aluminum shock absorber, stainless steel tensioner, and joints to ensure correct tension and controlled deformation in the event of a fall.

A Melathron system designed to operate without drilling, offering multi-operator capability and long-lasting resistance.

Performance and Materials

  • Multi-Operator Capacity: The MELATHRON Lifeline is highly efficient, allowing simultaneous use by up to 4 operators (maximum 2 per span in Type C configurations) or 1 operator (in Type A configurations), while ensuring continuous travel along the line.

  • Modular Configuration: The system can be configured with single or multiple spans, with spacing between intermediate elements ranging from 5 to 10 metres and a recommended total length of up to 100 metres.

  • High-Quality Materials: Made of AISI 304/316 stainless steel (cable and plates) and galvanized steel and aluminium for auxiliary components. The line ensures high corrosion resistance and long-term durability.

Flexibility of Support Posts

  • Non-Deformable Posts: The devices consist of non-deformable posts made of stainless steel (AISI 304) or galvanized steel, with height varying according to project requirements.

  • Adaptable Bases: The devices can be equipped with flat bases, inclined bases or double-inclined bases to ensure optimal fixing on concrete, brick-concrete, wood or steel roofing.
