WHAT IS THE OT23 FORM?
On the INAIL website, the new OT23 form has been published as a replacement for the previous OT24. It provides for a reduction of the average contribution rate for companies that have implemented measures to improve safety and hygiene conditions in the workplace, in addition to those required by current legislation.
These companies can thus receive a discount on the premium to be paid, recognized by INAIL (the so-called prevention contribution adjustment).
The interventions considered valid to obtain the benefit are divided by INAIL into five different areas:
Among the various types of interventions valid for requesting the reduction are, for example, the adoption or maintenance of properly certified occupational safety management systems, certifications issued by joint bodies, reporting of near misses or avoided workplace accidents, implemented training initiatives, social benefits granted to workers, agreements with local health authorities (ASL) for campaigns against smoking, alcohol abuse, and drug abuse.
Furthermore, interventions in section C represent a novelty within the model and include actions such as the reintegration of employees with work-related disabilities, night-time home-to-work transport services, and the implementation of measures to prevent robberies.
The application from interested companies can be submitted no later than February 29, 2020, exclusively online through the “Online Services” on the INAIL website.
When submitting the application, it will be necessary to demonstrate that measures to improve safety and hygiene in the workplace were implemented during 2019. Each intervention will be assigned a score, and to access the reduction of the average contribution rate, at least 100 points must be achieved. However, it will be necessary to wait 120 days from the submission of the application to receive the response.
Our technicians are available to verify both the opportunities and the improvement measures required by the OT23 Form.
