The device is used to create fall protection systems, either as a Type C flexible lifeline or as a Type E single anchor point.
Depending on its intended use, the device can be installed and later removed from the structure after the work is completed. In this case, the device falls under the scope of European Regulation 425/2016 and therefore bears the CE marking as a Category III Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
If the device is designed to remain permanently on the roof as a fall protection system for maintenance, it will not bear the CE marking but will be accompanied solely by the Declaration of Conformity to the EN 795:2012 standard, as this application falls outside the scope of the above-mentioned regulation.
