Why inspection is essential

Periodic inspections of fall protection systems are carried out to verify that anchors, supports, and all system components maintain the performance expected during design and installation.

Extraordinary inspections/maintenance are required whenever there is suspicion that the system may have been compromised (severe weather events, impacts, structural modifications, falls, etc.).

What our periodic inspection includes

During the periodic inspection, in accordance with the standard, we check:

1. System documentation

   • Graphic drawings, technical report, manuals, and certifications

   • Declaration of correct installation and maintenance program

   • Inspection register and roof access log

2. Anchoring system

   • Waterproofing conditions at fixing points

   • Wear, corrosion, deformation of components and cable

   • Cable tensioning and tightening of nuts and bolts

   • Functionality of moving parts and general condition of the area

3. Support structure and anchors

   • Absence of infiltration, cracks, degradation, or corrosion

   • Condition of anchors and suitability of the supporting structure

   • Check for possible alterations (mold, woodworms, deterioration)
